Nemrég jelent meg az Advanced System Care v.5.0-ás verziója ami immáron gyorsabb, erőforrás takarékosabb és több összetevőt tartalmaz mint elődei. A motorját is átírták, hogy jobban fusson 32, - és 64bit-es rendszereken egyaránt.
Ez egyébként egy rendszer optimalizáló, -karbantartó program - aki még nem hallott volna róla - , ami napra készen próbálja tartani az operációs rendszerünket több kevesebb sikerrel.
Három változata van, a fizetős Pro és az Essential-ön kívül az ingyenes Free. Az első automatikusan el tudja végezni a szükséges "takarítási" folyamatokat, míg a másodikban ezen felül egy vírusírtó is helyet kapott.

Akinek van kedve az saját felelősségére kipróbálhatja ezt a jelenleg Beta állapot lévő kis programocskát ami teljesen ingyenes....jelenleg. Van benne 2 előre választható állapot, illetve saját magunk is partizánkodhatunk.
A programon belül a "For Work", "For Game" és a "Custom" gombok közül választhatunk. Az első kettővel komolyabb bajt nem okozunk magunknak, viszont az utolsót jobb ha kellő körültekintéssel végezzük. A "Start Boost"-ra kattintva aktivizáljuk a kívánt lehetőséget, a "Restore"-val visszaállítunk minden az eredeti állapotra. Némi angol tudást azért igényel a használata!
Lényegében a háttérben és az aktuálisan futó programokat lehet kikapcsolni vele, emellett pedig a memóriát (RAM) is optimalizálja. Nálam a szoftver a "munkához" beállításnál elvileg 40%-ot, a "játékhoz" beállításnál 44%-ot javított. Az utolsónál némi variálás után is csak 46%-ot tudtam kihozni.

Once the keyboard and palm rest are removed this is
what the inside looks like. The keyboard garnish
needs to be removed. In order to do this the two corner
bolts under the laptop need to be removed(the manual
I downloaded from Lenovo was inaccurate here) look at the picture below.
I also needed to remove these 2 bolts attached to the chassis before the garnish can be removed.
Once I had the garnish removed I needed to get the left speaker loosened by means of the 2 bolts holding it at the top and bottom(see pic below).
Please note that some wiring is taped to the heat sink/fan assembly as well as some routed under one of the clamps holding the plate over the chip set/GPU(lower center of pic on left). Care needs to be taken not to damage these wires during the removal of the heat sink/fan. This is also a good time to disconnect the CPU fan from the motherboard.
Now I removed the heat sink/fan assembly by first taking the 4 bolts holding the 2 clamps over the chip set/GPU(left pic) and then the 4 bolts in a cross pattern over the CPU.
With the heat sink/fan out of the way you can now see the CPU and the chip set/GPU.
The thermal grease is clearly visible and needs to be cleaned and reapplied once the new CPU is in. To install the new CPU I turned the black screw on the socket counter clockwise to loosen the old CPU and clockwise once the new CPU was properly lined up with the little arrow pointing AWAY/RIGHT.
With the new CPU in and the old one out. It's time to do some cleaning. It is important to cleanboth the CPU, GPU and the heat sink Alcohol and Q-tips is my favorite way to do this. It's very important to make sure that after the thermal grease was removed that everything was completely dry before new thermal grease was applied, so I used a hair dryer at the lowest possible setting to make sure I did not damage anything (see pics below).
Here is a pic of the new CPU and chip set with thermal grease applied just before the heat sink/fan assembly was reinstalled.

All in all I can notice a significant difference in Vista as the system boots faster and it's much more responsive. I am glad I did this as I plan to keep this laptop for a couple of years. I hope you found this entertaining but please remember doing this type of surgery voids your warranty and runs the risk of bricking your equipment. It's also imperative that proper research is performed ahead of time to make sure that the new CPU is compatible with your system. I will not be responsible if anyone gets any ideas after reading this and screws up their equipment.
One of our viewers was bugged by this problem that his Anti Virus Avast gave him a warning of presence of virus “Win32:Kavos[Trj]” in cv22.cmd file along with the presence of “Win32:KillAV-KI[Trj]” Virus in pagefile.sys.
As usual the virus started making various problems and all weird
things started happening like the disabling of drive opening by double
click among others. The viruses listed above are more specifically
Trojans and can be removed as follows.
Solution:
• Log in the safe mode.
• Turn off the System Restore, to delete all the
viruses whose backup has been taken by it. Right click on My
Computer-> Properties-> System Restore tab-> click on Turn off

Note that avi2dvd is codec dependent so mega-codec packages may affect
the functionality of avi2dvd. Try to install the codecs that are
recommended on the features section. Morgan splitter is known for
istance that gives several problems with avi2dvd. Nero filters too...
Once you have a codec problem make sure that you have uninstalled the
unsupported codec and try reinstalling avi2dvd again.
